Bored

I am bored bored bored bored bored bored bored. I've walked around the house, crying until I am once again the center of attention. I rolled around on my back making all sorts of strange noises. I have eaten every mystery item I could find on the floor. I have picked up every one of my toys out of the basket and scattered them everywhere. My biggest production so far is barking and jumping up and squealing until I am played with (as seen here). I have explored the Wonderful World Of Foam In My Bed (tm). Maybe I'll just go to sleep.

Puppy Love

I just can't stop thinking about Reggie. In fact when someone mentions his name, I start to cry and run over to the door. I keep hoping he will come over again soon. Sigh. I think I will paste pictures of us in my crate so I can dream about him...

Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny...

Oh My. What a night. Reggie brought me the BEST. PRESENT. EVER. It's a yellow polka-dot bikini and it flatters my curves well. Please disregard my hairdo above, I'd been playing a lot.
I know this looks worse than it is, but we had played so much that we finally got tired and started to fall asleep. I decided to use Reggie as a pillow. He's so dreamy, isn't he?

Date Night

I have a date with Reggie again tonight. He's coming over at around 7:30 and I can't wait. I start to cry and get excited when I hear his name. But don't tell him because I don't want him to know that just yet. A girl has to play hard to get sometimes. Speaking of boys, here's another boy that I play with from time to time. Mylo is a Goldendoodle, which is a mix between a golden retriver and a standard poodle. I was recently told that the word "doodle" means something very interesting in Australian slang. Anyways he's about 8,000 times my size but even when he sits on me I manage to wriggle out and hold my own.

Grandma & Grandpa's

Sometimes I get to go visit my grandparents. They have a very nice backyard. I have recently discovered that I can't go back there unsupervised, and this is the main reason. They have a very tempting pond that I'd love to splash in, and, if you can believe it, there are moving TOYS in there! Everyone calls them fish and I'd really like to play with them. I haven't been able to get too close yet without lots of yelling though.

Bathtime makes me look pathetic.

P.S. I Love You!

Well I went on my very first vacation! After about 2 hours in the car I was taken to this ENORMOUS house in Palm Springs. There was so much room to play I didn't know what to do. I got a new hedgehog toy which I promptly ripped open to get to the delicious squeaky center (the best part, of course) and played so much ball in the house I got tired!

I even got to swim in the pool, though I had to be coaxed in at first. I can swim pretty darned well and in the 109 degree heat it was nice to cool off.

I had my own dog park! Lots of grass to play in and stuff to pick out and eat in there. I love chewing on random mystery items that I find. I also had to be careful because the cement got so hot I could burn my paws.

Vacation All I Ever Wanted...

I'm about to embark on what will be my very first vacation this weekend. I'm going to Palm Springs which doesn't mean much to me but I'm told it's a very warm desert place and that the house I'm going to be in is huge, which only means one thing... more room to play BALL!! There's a pool too that maybe I'll get to play in. Can't wait!

My Big Owie

I recently had surgery on my paw because, being the lunatic dog that I am, I managed to get a pebble or something lodged up in between my toes, causing a cyst which had to be removed. Everyone was talking about putting a cone on my head but since that didn't seem like fun to me I was very good and didn't try to pull my bandage off. Even when they removed the dressing and the temptation to chew the stitches was there, I behaved and now I'm much better. Here I am doing my famous "stair sit" with the bandaged paw. When I went out to pee and it was wet in the grass I had to wear a stupid plastic bag, rubber -banded on my leg so it wouldn't get wet. I looked absolutely ridiculous.

Day Care

Today I went to one of my very favorite places- Day Care. Just around the corner is a dog grooming place and they love me so much that they let me come by and babysit me. They always have lots of dogs to play with but my favorites are Gizmo the Maltese and Homer, though today someone new caught my eye. Another scruff terrier named Patina came in and though I growled at her at first (She's as cute as me, and I don't know how I feel about that), we played like crazy. I think Gizmo's feelings were hurt because I kinda dissed him to play with Patina, but he'll get over it and we're still friends. Man, when I hear the words "Day Care" I do get a little nutty and try to run as fast as I can to the car to get there. Plus the people there are really cool and love me to pieces too.

The Dating Scene

I have a friend named Reggie who I see from time to time. Our relationship is still in development, though he did give me a stuffed rose for Valentine's day that said "I Love You". It may have been a little forward but I really do dig him. Here we are together- I gave him that red "R" ID tag for Valentine's day.

He sometimes dresses up for our dates. Here he is in his swankiest pair of overalls.

Fun With Bed

I have a little bed I like to sleep in.

Recently I made the discovery that chewing a hole in the fabric opens a passageway to a secret hidden world with all the foam you can eat.

Of course, foam is also a little clingy.

Welcome

My name is Remy and this is my life.

I'm about a year old and nobody is really sure what I am, though I often hear that I'm part monster. The vet's best guess is that I have some Jack Russell terrier in me, though my nose isn't as long as theirs are.

I used to live on the streets, playing in traffic with a family who didn't want me. In fact, they happily gave me up to the great lady who rescued me, after she saw that I was running loose and having to fight for food with a large dalmation. Take a moment to consider that- I'm less than 10 lbs.

Anyways, I was plucked from that life, deflea-ed and stuff, and then had a surgery on my girlieparts but thank goodness I don't remember much from that. I was hanging out with my rescuer with her family of dogs who I love, until another lady took me home, but she wasn't quite ready to care for a dog so she took me back.

Finally I arrived in my current place. I now have my own food, bed, toys (never had any before!) and lots of love. I've been here about 4 months now and I think I'll stick around.
